A similar thing happened here yesterday -- I clearly heard a Great Crested
Flycatcher calling, but then I realized it was just the neighbor's
mockingbird messing with my head like it does every spring.

| Jim, and all,
| Yesterday afternoon, I heard the distinct sound of an Eastern Kingbird
here
| on our Woodbine property. I searched as hard as I could, but found that
it
| was just one of my local mockingbirds doing a very convincing impression.
The
| funny thing is that the mocker was doing an impression of a bird that
hasn't
| arrived here yet. Pretty good!
