I have decided to make an attempt to at least hear this elusive bird this year. My last attempt, in North Carolina, a few years ago ended in ignominious failure, probably owing to the very windy conditions at the time I was there.
My internet research indicates that Elliott Island is one of the best places to try in Maryland. I would appreciate any advice such as best months to try, best places ( around Elliott Island or elsewhere) and anything else deemed useful.
I plan to drive down from the Toronto area specifically to try to add this bird to my ABA life list which currently stands at 593, and hopefully to break the landmark 600 in Arizona in July---I would be happy just to hear the bird although, a huge longshot I know, seeing one would be a bonus.

Thanks in advance
