The Conference deadline, April 30, is almost here. I
hope you are not going to miss out on an outstanding
conference experience. Bill Thompson, editor of Bird
Watcher’s Digest, is our keynote speaker on Friday.
Then, of course, there are the field trips.
Dave Webb has done an exceptional job of putting
together field trips for the Conference. Harford
members are also doing their part to help by
co-leading many of the trips. We know about such
popular Harford birding locations as Susquehanna State
Park and Conowingo Dam, but have you ever visited
Aberdeen Proving Ground or Broad Creek or Fair Hill or
Jerusalem Mill? How about Mariner Point Park, Palmer
State Park, Perryman Peninsula, Rocks State park,
Upper Deer Creek Valley, and Winters Run? Other field
trips will focus on photography, dragonflies,
butterflies, bird banding, and the Havre de Grace
Decoy Museum . There are still spaces available for
the kayak trip.
Contact me if you have questions. The Conference
registration form is available on the MOS website,
www.mdbirds.org. Hope to see you there.
