I haven't seen a Broad-winged Hawk this year, and I have never seen one 
from my yard, but yesterday morning I heard the call of a BWHA several 
times while I was sitting on my deck.  Since it was only about 7:45, it 
seemed pretty early for a hawk.  After a few minutes, the mystery was 
resolved - the BWHA transformed into a Blue Jay!

I've heard lots of Blue Jays doing good imitations of Red-shoulders, but 
this was my first Broad-winged Blue Jay.
