Conditions were good for recording last night so I put the mic out on
the driveway about 10 pm. Calls picked up after 12 midnight with
White-throated Sparrows the most prevalent. There were a few Chipping
and Savannah Sparrows mixed in, 5 or 6 Ovenbirds, a Great Blue Heron and
still some Hermit Thrush coming through.

Best surprise of the night (early morning) was not a flight call but a
singing Louisiana Waterthrush in my yard at 4:43 AM. The morning robin
chorus started about 4:30 and the waterthrush sang 3 times before moving
on. New yard bird for me.
