Sorry, somehow this was sent while I was still typing. Complete message is below.

Hello,

This morning I explored the Patapsco Valley State Park south of Marriottsville Rd on the Howard County side. Access was from Driver Rd, 1.3 miles from the turn from Marriottsville Rd (which is right by the Bon Secours driveway.) Highlights for me were

PRAIRIE WARBLER and WHITE-EYED VIREO in a brushy area on the edge of a large overgrown field that slopes toward the river.

OVENBIRD and LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH in the forest on the way downslope.

WORM-EATING WARBLER and GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER at the Patapsco River, about .3 miles downstream from the Marriottsville bridge. These were both heard only. The Worm-eating Warbler was across the river on a steep slope in the McKeldin area and was singing regularly. The Flycatcher gave a few wheeps and was silent.

Good birding,

Scott Berglund
