There seemed to be a few migrants around in the neighborhood - went for a short walk and then a run and heard Black-throated Green, Nashville and Blue-winged Warblers. Down by the river the expected breeding residents were around, including a Yellow-throated Vireo as well as the warblers heard yesterday as well as an Ovenbird (bringing the warbler total to 9 species).

The pair of male Common Mergansers are still in Cabin John creek. One has a damaged wing (left) - looks like the other one is keeping it company.

One of the local ravens just flew over our house.
