A visit to the Huntingtown WMA late this AM discovered few birds, as I,
at least, usually find it. But in the farther-most and largest of the
otherwise sterile no-till fields, there abode an impressive flock of A.
Pipits. Blending in as they did, their total number could not be
appreciated until they all lifted off more or less at once.

Osprey 3
Am Kestrel 1
Hairy W'pecker 1
Red-eye Vireo 1
White-eye Vireo 10
Blue Jay 1
B-g Gnatcatcher 1
Car Wren 5
AM PIPIT 30
N Parula 4
C Y-throat 1
E Towhee 3
Field Sparrow 8
B-h Cowbird 2

Elsewhere in the vicinity but outside the WMA,

E Kingbird FOY
Wood Thrush
Yellow Warbler FOY
Scarlet Tanager
Rose-br Grosbeak, ad m, at feeder FOY
