Weather: Cloudy, becoming partly cloudy; a chilly 51-61 degrees; good to excellent
visibility; brisk winds mostly from the northwest, 9-17 mph, gusting to 26 mph.
Raptor Observations:
Our first day with a westerly component to the wind in more than two weeks
brought good numbers of Sharp-shinned Hawks, Northern Harriers, and
Ospreys. A Sharp-shinned Hawk crossed the river just skimming the surface.

Site Description: Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
