Hi Everybody,

The May Count is coming up soon, just a week and half away on Saturday
the tenth. I will be compiling the count here in Kent County again this
year and am putting out the call for observers to cover a territory
here. Anyone who might be interested in covering some part of the county
should get in touch with me at the contact e-mail or number listed below
in my signature block. Areas that received little or no coverage last
year included Sassafras Natural Resource Management Area, Still Pond
Neck, Chesterville, Quaker Neck, Broad Neck, Piney Neck, and
Chestertown, among many others. Kent County is capable of producing an
overall count of over 160 species, and single parties have a good chance
of finding 100 or more birds species on a good May day (I hope it won't
be as cool as it is now on the tenth of May).

Good birding,

Walter Ellison
