Interesting birds lunchtime on DC Mall

4/30/08
Baltimore Oriole (Red Cross on 17th St)
Cedar Waxwings (WW2 Mem.)
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (DC War Mem.)
Yellow Warbler (Const. Gardens)
Blue-winged Warbler (DC War Mem.)

4/29/08
Ovenbird (FDR Mem.)
Veery (DC War Mem.)

Last week oddness
One N.Parula singing a raspy Yellow-throated Warbler song.

Still lots of white-throated sparrows and yellow-rumped warblers about, a handful of Hermit Thrush, a few Thrashers, tons of Robins, Red-winged blackbirds, one or two chipping sparrows, and other birds I'm forgetting. Too many Starlings, Grackles, House Sparrows, and Cowbirds for my liking.
