Spent the majority of the morning at Mckeldin PVSP - was hoping for Prothonotary Warbler or Northern Waterthrush. I settled for a trio of Ceruleans. A note on the 2 Ceruleans i heard singing on the tall poplar trail ( i saw a third later), they are consistantly singing an alternate song than i'm used to. I ran into Joel Martin and we tracked a male singing in a sycamore to confirm the ID. If anyone has the Lang Elliot/Stokes Eastern Bird Songs, its the 2nd set of songs in the track. The best way to describe it is the usual Cerulean song, but with the middle syllable removed. This makes the whole thing similiar to black-throated blue, but the tonal quality is still buzzy.

Other note of interest, i had a vireo that i could not seperate between warbling and philadelphia. Given the rarity of the later, i assume it was a very bright warbling with yellow wash. It lacked any yellow on the breast, in general it felt a bit stocky and small. Just a heads up.
