Hi all,
Today I took a quick trip to Finzel Swamp at lunch with Kevin Oxenrider where we also ran into another birder whose name I did not get, then in the afternoon Jo Anna Leachman and I headed down to North Branch to see what was around. At Finzel swamp, the most interesting sighting was a juvenile NORTHERN GOSHAWK that came out of the woods from the south, soared around a bit above the swamp (and above us), then flew back into the woods to the north, all the while being pursued by an American Crow. At North Branch there was a near full breeding plumaged BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER among a few other shorebirds.
