Thought I'd report these now, even though I'm still
counting. Had a *lifer* CAPE MAY WARBLER (striking male)
and yard bird BAY-BREASTED WARBLER (also male, great looks)
in Laurel, PG County this morning. Those are yard birds #93
and 94, respectively, after logging #90 (BLACK-THROATED
BLUE) yesterday, and #91 (WHITE-EYED VIREO) and #92 (YELLOW
WARBLER---a singing male that hung around for hours and even
visited the bird bath) this morning. Wow. Other new
migrants to the yard yesterday and today include
RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD, WOOD THRUSH, GREAT CRESTED
FLYCATCHER, EASTERN KINGBIRD, BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER,
RED-EYED VIREO, and INDIGO BUNTING. Also this morning, a
male SCARLET TANAGER flew through and 2 male ROSE-BREASTED
GROSBEAKS visited the feeders. What a day, and it's only
half done!!
