Hubby and I took a nice walk around Sewell's Orchard Ponds between 12:30 and 2:00 today saw a lot of activity. I think the spring birds were thrilled that the sun finally came out!

At west end between top and middle ponds
YELLOW-WARBLER at west end of middle pond.
GREEN HERONS courting

At east end of lower pond and on bike path below:

First year male ORCHARD ORIOLE singing loud and strong (beautiful yellow with black throat!)
Displaying buzzing EASTERN KINGBIRDS
Male BLUE GROSSBEAKS
Male COMMON YELLOWTHROAT "witchety-ing" his little heart out
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK hunting
BARN and TREE SWALLOWS swooping
CHIMNEY SWIFTS twittering
