I saw one Sandhill Crane flying west over Partnership Road this afternoon
a bit past 4pm.  The bird was flying over the pasture just past the
intersection with
Sugarland Road and went into a landing glide (i.e., transitioned from
flapping to gliding 
while gradually losing altitude) but I couldn't see where it landed.  I
drove around checking the fields visible from the roads in the area but did
not find the bird.
