Location: Fort Howard Park
Observation date: 5/3/08
Notes: After trying for the Chuck-Will's-Widow at Miller Island Road
(without success), I arrived at Fort Howard at around 7 am until about
9:45 am. The warbler fallout was amazing! Lawrence's Hybrid was an
incredible thrill -- as were the sheer numbers of warblers. The 30
Black-throated Blue Warblers is not a misprint, and is probably a
conservative estimate.
There were 2 separate groups of warblers (and other birds); one group -
on the north end, another on the northeast end. Then I left to explore
the southwest end, and had decent numbers there too.
Hearing and watching the concentration of birds was awe inspiring.
Good Birding!

Later I left for North Point State Park and had 9 species of warblers -
with 2 Yellow-breasted Chats being the only new warbler from Fort
Howard.
