There were few warbler and vireo species seen at Rock Creek Park this
morning. We did however have an excellent display of ten cormorants
flying in a perfect vee formation.

Birds of interest:

Black-throated Green Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler 30+
Ovenbird (heard)
Northern Parula (heard)
Red-eyed Vireo
Double-crested Cormorants 10
Eastern Kingbird (Bill and Don)
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Great Crested Flycatcher
Swamp Sparrow (Jim)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
White-breasted Nuthatch
Eastern Bluebird
Indigo Bunting
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Plus 14 other species of the usual sort

Upon exiting the park we met Gary Allport who reported seeing the
Warbling Vireo and the Yellow-throated Vireo.

Observers: Bill Butler, Lou DeMouy, Jim Lemert, Rob Hilton, Wallace
Kornack, Don Messersmith, Betsy Stevens, Marcie, Shelly

Have Fun Birding!
