My husband and I viewed a bird today that has us stumped.  We are fairly 
novice birders.  I have posted the picture at:

This bird was in the top of a tree in Fern Valley at the National Arboretum and 
it was at least as large as a crow, if not larger.  When it flew off, it's tail was 
fan-shaped and the white band at the bottom of the tail was quite 
distinctive.  The bird was dark on top.  Any suggestions?
