Subject: Poplar Island Sightings from Apr 30,  2008

            This report is submitted on behalf of Jan Reese of Talbot
County, who continues to periodically survey the flora and fauna of the Paul
Sarbanes Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island. 
            These sightings include the birds seen on Apr 30, 2008.  Some of
the birds were seen from the boat during the trip from Tilghman Island and
back. 
	
	Note the presence of  many Turkey Vultures and also Blue-winged
Teal, Green-winged Teal, Purple Sandpiper and Horned Lark.	
	Weather: Overcast to partly cloudy am & pm    Temp range 49-62
degrees  F
