Total observation time: 7 hours
Official Counter: Sue Ricciardi
Observers: Andy Smith, Dan Stewart, Greg Smith
Visitors: Peter Osenton
Weather: Partly cloudy becoming sunny; 61-70 degrees; fair visibility with haze;
winds mostly from the WNW, 6-14 mph, gusting to 21 mph
Raptor Observations:
The westerly winds brought us good numbers of vultures, Sharp-shinned
Hawks, and Broad-winged Hawks. It was our best day thus far for
Broadwings. Prior easterly winds likely kept them away from our hawkwatch
site earlier.
Non-raptor Observations: Least Sandpiper; Pine Siskin; Probably a few thousand swallows, mostly
Trees.
