Among the highlights from the day's birding were two Barred Owls calling at
each other along the C&O Canal (b/w mile-markers 8 and 9) as well as a Wood
Duck female with 9 ducklings in tow. A Worm-eating Warbler was heard in the
Archbold Glover Park, and a mixed species flock in Rock Creek Park (near the
Carter Barron Amphitheater) included Bay-breasted, Blackburnian, and Canada
Warblers.
