An evening shakedown cruise of the Phalarope between Town Creek (Oxford)
and Deepwater Point yielded a calling loon, green heron flyby, a pair of Canada
geese with 2 goslings, 2 adult bald eagles mobbed by an American crow, 4
active osprey nests, Forster's tern, tree swallow, and singing horned larks,
heard while Lee and I enjoyed a take-out sushi picnic aboard. It was pretty
neat seeing and hearing the loon call.

Happy birding,
