I did a quick swing through Hains Pt. this (Friday, 5/16) morning. I did
not see any Franklin's Gulls (nor did John Sherwood & his wife, who were
also present). However the number of RING-BILLED GULLS seems to have grown
- I estimated 350 birds. Mostly 1st cycle, but a few older birds mixed in.
Highlight was relocating the GLOSSY IBIS reported 2 days ago, as well as the
growing number of BONAPARTE'S GULLS (incl. a beautiful alternate plumaged
