Hi MD Osprey:

I received a report from Kathy Woods that Trumpeter Swan #962 (from
the Ontario reintroduction program) was seen on Thursday (5/15)
around Paper Mill Flats (Baltimore County) and was headed toward Loch
Raven. This is the bird that Fred Shaffer first found in Maryland at
Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro (Prince George's County) as a
first-year bird on 5/2/2006. Please report any other sightings.

Also, has anyone recently seen its sibling, the banded Trumpeter Swan
#960? This is the bird that was first found on 5/4/2006 at Benedict
(Charles County) by Larry Hindman. The bird then relocated and spent
most of its time at Oxbow Lake in Russett (Anne Arundel County) until
fairly recently, when it was seen at Patuxent Wildlife Research
Center - Central Tract (Prince George's County). Again, please report
any sightings.

Thanks!

Phil
