Keith Costley and I went around Milford Mill this morning. We saw two
Gray-cheeked Thrushes. One was at the same location as last year (by
the bridge on Milford Mill Rd). The other was most of the way to the
far end of the loop. Neither of them sang. We did not see Joel's
Lincoln's Sparrow.

We were very pleased to have good looks at a Blackburnian, a
Bay-breasted Warbler, and a Black-throated Green Warbler down by the
far end of the loop. Other well-seen birds were a Wilson's Warbler
near the beginning of the streamside part of the loop; Canada,
Magnolia and Hooded Warblers; and Yellow-throated Vireo near the far
end.

Our list, in part:

Green Heron (rather deep in the woods, but sunlit and very striking to
see) 1
Great Crested Flycatcher 1
Yellow-throated Vireo 1
Wood Thrush 5
Veery 2
Swainson's Thrush 1
Gray-cheeked Thrush 2
Northern Parula 1
Magnolia Warbler 2
Black-throated Blue Warbler 2
Black-throated Green Warbler 1
Blackburnian Warbler 1
Bay-breasted Warbler 1
Blackpoll Warbler 1
American Redstart 4
Ovenbird 1
Northern Waterthrush 2
Common Yellowthroat 1
Hooded Warbler 1
Wilson's Warbler 1
Canada Warbler 3
Scarlet Tanager 3

Later we stopped at Druid Ridge Cemetery, mainly in the large woods
near the pond, where we saw several Swainson's Thrushes, and a pair of
Baltimore Orioles copulating right on the asphalt road. We were hoping
for Cape May Warblers in the spruces, but with the wind they would
have needed grappling hooks to stay in the trees.
