Hi all,

My friend Michael and I went to North Point SP yesterday afternoon to feed
the mosquitoes. While driving down North Point Blvd, several miles from the
park, we noticed a flock of CATTLE EGRET wading in the yard pond in front of
the Siemans factory. Among them were five GLOSSY IBISes, and overhead a
Red-shouldered Hawk was mobbed by several Grackles and a House Sparrow with
delusions of grandeur.

In the field across from the entrance of NPSP, there was another CATTLE
EGRET, a GLOSSY fly-by, and two more Cattle Egret were a quarter mile down
the road at the house with the historic marker.

In the park proper, Mike and I wandered around the pavilion near the
visitor's center. Several Spotted Sandpipers picked lunch off the brick
beach, but avian traffic in the bay was minimal.

The Black Marsh trail was very quiet, but fortunately yielded a few
warblers; MYRTLE, NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH, OVENBIRD, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. Also
seen were a GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH, SCARLET TANAGER, and a couple of INDIGO
BUNTING at the trailhead.

I've updated photos on the website in my signature.

Good birding!
