Interesting to note that "same birds around as yesterday." For past 3
days, I have had 2 Am Redstart, a Magnolia, a Blackpoll, a Yellow
Warbler, and 2 Red Eyed Vireo in my front yard Locust tree.
I heard quite a few birds passing over last night when I put the
recording gear out around 11 pm. Thought for sure the migrants would be
gone from my front yard this morning, but they were all still here and
feeding in the Locust.
Since I started birding in 2003, the big picture of migration seems the
same each year, but each one seems to have its own flavor. Its
perplexing (at least to me). Maybe thats a good thing.
