This morning Rae Sturge, Kye Jenkins, Steve Schwemmer, and myself, all
searched the area surrounding Pigpen Pond at UMBC campus without any luck
in relocating the Nelson's Sharpie. We did however come to realize that
the empid singing by the pond all yesterday and this morning is indeed a
ALDER FLYCATCHER! Other birds of interest:

Green Heron--1
Great Blue Heron--1
Great Black-backed Gull--2 fly-by in a flock of 8 Herring Gulls
Red-tailed Hawk--1 mobbed by crow and resident Red-shouldered Hawk
Swainson's Thrush--1 feeding in mulberry tree with Cedar Waxwings
Wilson's Warbler--1 singing male
Northern Waterthrush--1
Blackpoll Warbler--1 pair
Magnolia Warbler--1

Back at home, the woods behind our apartment building is hopping with
warblers. A short series of 'pishing' attracted a handful of warbler
species, including Magnolia (2), Black-throated Blue (F), Chestnut-sided
(F), Yellow (M), Wilson's (2M), Am. Redstart (F), Blackpoll (2M1F), and a
Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

Good times:)
