Dropping off someone at BWI was a good excuse to do
some birding at the MD-dot "bridge to nowhere". It
needs a new nickname as the bridge was apparently
completed in recent weeks and now connects MD-DOT-HQ
with the BWI Amtrak station.

This 1/4 mile or so bridge provides tree-top viewing
over the Stony Run wetland and adjacent woods. This
morning 4+ Blackpols were active there and a female
Prothonotary provided great looks. Lots of
flycatchers including peewee, phoebe and
Great-Created. Also saw four Yellow-Crowned Night
Herons flying near Arundel Mills Mall on the way to
work.

The footbridge was built for bicyclists and
train-users, but allows good birding without getting
your feet wet.
