I know this is a tad bit late but I just joined MDOSPREY and had a great
bird day I wanted to share.

I walked around Greenbelt Park outside DC on Saturday, May 24th until about
noon or so. I've been to this park before and the birds were ok, but I
really wasn't expecting the fabulous warbler day that I got!

*Warblers
*Pine Warbler
Ovenbird
Blackpoll Warbler (Still tons of them hanging around)
Canada Warbler (7 or 8 over the course of the day, most individuals I've
seen during migration in the mid-atlantic before)
Magnolia Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Black and White Warbler
American Redstart
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Louisiana Waterthrush
Blue-winged Warbler (a definite surprise)

And the best bird of the day for me.... a Blackburnian Warbler. Which is
actually a lifer AND a bird nemesis. I couldn't believe that Greenbelt was
the park I finally got this bird when I was looking for a different bird in
the same tree

Other birds of note...
Swainson's Thrushes (everywhere)
Gray-cheeked Thrush
American Kestrel
Eastern Phoebe nestlings

and a red fox!
