The OSFC reported by Bill Hubick for Tom Field
yesterday seems to have been in exactly the same
location this evening from 6:15-6:30 PM. I missed it
on my lunch hour today, but had better luck on the way
home after meeting Chip and Kim Bauer along Race Rd.
The bird seems to score a big bug every time it leaves
its dead tree lookout. If you try for this bird,
either park on the gravel across from the landscaping
company and walk south or park on the shoulder north
of the concrete company and walk north. The place we
saw it was in the middle of the S-curves where no
parking exists. See Bill's message below for more
details.

Bonus birds there today included ORCHARD ORIOLES,
GREEN HERON, BLUE HERON, N. PARULA, RED-BELLIED and
HAIRY WOODPECKERS.

original post, May 26:

 - Hi Everyone,

Tom Feild asked me to post that he observed an
OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER on Race Road in Howard Co. late
this afternoon. It was perched in the dead branches at

the top of a sycamore on the east side of Race Road at
0.8 miles north of Hanover Road. The sycamore is
roughly 50 yards from the road and the bird was
hunting throughout the area, including across the
county line in Anne Arundel.

Good birding,
