Hi Folks,

Elaine and I met Bill Hubick at Ft McHenry around 3:20 p.m., where Bill had
the bird sighted with binoculars, and we put the scope on it for a positive
ID. Bill gave us easy directions for where to aim the scope: look for the
two tall smoke stacks to the right of the Key Bridge. The pelican was on
the pilings with numerous cormorants, as described in previous posts. We
viewed for about 15 minutes, enjoying the wonderful ambiance of the place,
but wanted to get home before traffic became an issue.

This was a sweet sighting as Bob Ringler and I had spent the better part of
an hour this past Saturday looking for this bird, without success.
Additionally, this is Baltimore County/City bird #250 for me, and my third
new Baltimore area bird in the past ten days (the other two being Chuck and
Worm-eater).
