We went to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens this morning, arriving around 8 am. The Alder Flycatcher was singing a perfectly typical song from off the end of the first boardwalk, as described yesterday. We watched it singing from the top of a willow tree a few hundred feet away. Much closer to the boardwalk was a pair of Willow Flycatchers; the male sang sporadically (less often than the Alder) during the fifteen minutes or so we were at the boardwalk's end. On our way to the boardwalk we saw two or three water snakes and a red-eared type turtle.

Three Yellow-breasted Chats were singing in the back part of Kenilworth Park, behind the barricades.

It's hot out there!
