Hi all,
Just to add my 2 cents worth to the discussion, I would like to recommend
that playing of tapes, ipod vocalizations, etc. of this bird near the field,
seeking a view of it, be suspended. At the very least, it is disturbing to
other birders present trying to listen and pinpoint the actual singing bird, at
most it will cause this bird to stop singing and move on, fearing another of
its' kind has moved in. Please, please be considerate of your fellow birders,
so others can still come with hopes of seeing or even hearing this great
county bird. I was there looking and listening with only a limited time today,
and had to settle for "heard only" status, as I had to leave for another
appointment, but hope to return on Saturday morning with my daughter to see if we
can see it as well as hear it.
If you must play recordings, please use your headphones and don't play them
aloud.
