Since posting about our two Common Ravens this morning, we were amazed to add yet another yard bird today from our little patch in Bethesda.  While not as unusual as the Common Ravens, given how little sky we see through the trees around our house, our lucky sighting of an adult Bald Eagle circling VERY high overhead was very exciting.  Ann said "is that a Black Vulture?" and I said "I think it's a Bald Eagle."  Had just enough time to run and get our binoculars and confirm the sighting.

Quite a day!
