Hey everyone-

I haven't been out for a while, but on the way home from some errands today, I noticed that, for the second time in the last three days, the Yellow- Crowned Night Heron returned to its normal spot in the stream (Roland Run) next to the Royal Farms on Joppa Rd. The bird has not put in as many appearances this summer as last, but I have seen it at least five times so far. Its usual hangouts include where the Roland Run runs next to the Royal Farms at the corner of Joppa Rd. and Thornton Rd., and where Roland Run crosses under Ruxton Rd. (Off of Bellona Ave.).

Good Birding,
