Ease of cleaning means nothing if the birds won't
use it. My hummingbirds will hardly touch a
HummZinger. They much prefer the Perky Pet
feeders. (Which are not hard to clean, really -
just a short soak in bleach solution.)
So far, in the past 4 Saturday mornings, Bruce
Peterjohn has banded 68 new hummingbirds at my
house and recaptured 17 birds that were banded
last summer. Last summer we banded 215 birds.

And the big salmon fought but the talons held true
And he shuddered as the world turned from silver
