Several people have asked for directions to Oxbow Lake, so here they are:

From the intersection of MD 198 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (295), take 198 west toward Laurel.
At the second stop light, turn north onto Russett Green West (RGW)
Continue on RGW for about 0.8 mile
Turn left onto OXBOW PLACE 
Continue on Oxbow Place, cross 1 speed hump.
At the pedestrian walkway, look to your left and see the entrance into the Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve.
Do a U-turn (or go down to the next corner and turn back) and park on the road at the entrance.

Or if you are using an Internet program like MapQuest or Yahoo to 
get directions, use the intersection of Oxbow Pl & Lost Creek Blvd, 
Laurel, MD 20724. From this intersection:
Continue on Oxbow Place, cross 1 speed hump.
At the pedestrian walkway, look to your left and see the entrance into the Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve.
Do a U-turn (or go down to the next corner and turn back) and park on the road at the entrance.

If by chance you turned at the 1st stoplight onto Russett Green East, just continue around the loop to OXBOW PLACE. From this direction, turn right onto OXBOW Place.

If you arrive on Saturday morning a little late, take the trail to the left from the entrance on Oxbow Place. Follow it until you find the group.
