Hi all  here is a quick   report of  the Bird  highlights   at the Chesapeake  Bay Environmental  center and  Kent Narrows  near Grasonville Maryland  in Queen Annes County   from Saturday  8- 9 -08


Great Blue Heron     1 Kent Narrows 
Snowy Egret           1
Green  Heron    1
Black – crowned  Night – Heron    2 total   1 adult   1 immature     Kent Narrows 
Semipalmated Plover     2
Killdeer        4
Greater Yellowlegs 
Lesser yellowlegs 
Solitary Sandpiper      2
 Semipalmated  Sandpiper     10
Least Sandpiper    5
Pectoral Sandpiper     3
Dulin    1
Yellow - billed Cuckoo   1     on the ground along the lane at  [ Horsehead ]  on my way in 
Purple Martin      1
Tree swallow     6
Barn Swallow       at least 20  staging for migration feeding and resting  at the lake 
Brown headed Nuthatch    2     Marshy creek trail 
Pine warbler     15   feeding on and near the ground  on  Marshy creek trail
