We were at Swallow Falls in Garrett County yesterday and were pretty sure we saw a Louisiana Waterthrush along the river, with yellowish buff flanks, prominent eye stripe, pinkish legs and slower bobing of tail. Then we wondered, for those in the area, does the Northern get down this far? The different range maps seem to give different answers. Any insights? Thanks.

I just received a call from Jim Stasz who is at Truitt's Landing. He has found a White-winged Dove which came in and landed on a snag at the west edge of the marsh on Truitt's Landing Road before you reach Boxiron Landing... The bird stayed long enough for him to get photos before it flew off to the north or northwest. I'm sure there will be more information coming if the bird is relocated.
