Birds of Tilghman Island on 8/24

    Jan Reese led a group of 11 birders for a few hours at various sites on
Tilghman Island on 8/24.  Several Warblers were found and a couple of
empids.  Bank Swallows were on the move.  Total species count was 62.
    Highlights:
    Cooper's Hawk
    Several small kettles of vultures, eagles and Red-tailed Hawks
    Wild Turkey - 49
    Yellow-billed Cuckoo
    Ruby-throated Hummingbirds - many
    Chimney Swift
    Eastern Wood Pewee
    Least Flycatcher
    Great Crested Flycatcher
    Eastern Kingbird
    Another Empid that defied clear identification
    Bank Swallows - many
    Tree Swallow
    Barn Swallow
    Purple Martin
    White-breasted Nuthatch
    Brown Headed Nuthatch
    Warblers - Magnolia, Yellow-throated, Pine, Prairie, Black-and-White,
Redstart and Ovenbird
    Grasshopper Sparrow
    and the others were just the normal suspect.
