Dear All

Having seen the weather overnight I thougt it looked like a good morning for puddle n turf birds but being too short on time to go to Hains I took a shot at Fort Reno. As I was getting ready to leave the house when two Great Egrets flew over (DC house/garden tick #93) - a good sign I thought. But it was not to be - Ft Reno was completely devoid of any migrants of any sort, grassy, bushy, or canopy-y .

But there was a consolation or sorts in the form of a Raven that I heard calling. Unfortunately I never set eyes on it and must have heard it call half a dozen times or more over a 30 min period. I didn't have time to chase it and - here's the rub - I don't know if it was in DC as it was calling from up Wisconsin Ave somewhere and might have been in MD. Hmmmmm

Here's hoping someone's at Hains - Gail? Barry?

Best

Gary
