Hughes Hollow - McKee Beshers WLMA Mont. Co. 8/31 - no White Ibis but lots of Great Egrets

Our visit to Hughes Hollow, today, Sunday, 8/31, was the first since the water got so low in the impoundments.  We couldn't find the White Ibis that has been reported (though we talked to someone who had talked to someone who might have seen it from Hunting Quarter Road at the back on the large impoundment), but it was amazing to see 44 Great Egrets in the two northern impoundments.  Otherwise things were pretty slow with only 27 species, no shorebirds and very few land birds/migrants (Magnolia Warbler was it).  Complete list from eBird report below.
