Tuckahoe State Park 8 - 30 - 08 and Central Sod farm Queenstown

 Hi all   I made a midmorning visit to  Tuckahoe  State  Park On saturday Aug 30 , 2008 . I went to the Lakeside trail on the Queen Annes County side of the lake  were I  had   some  action.   Flycatchers  were quite common . On the way to Tuckahoe I stopped at central sod farm near Queenstown I only had the  Horned Larks and Killdeer there .

Wood Duck   5
 Red Bellied woodpecker     1
Ruby Throated hummingbird      2       one immature  male displaying for a female  
Downy Woodpecker         1
Carolina Chickadee     3
Carolina Wren  
Great Creasted Flycatchers     3
Eastern Kingbirds       4         two  hovering in midair eating pokeberries 
Eastern Wood Pewee   2
Eastern Phoebe      1
Acadian Flycatcher      1
Empid Flycatchers     several 
White eyed vireo      1
Red eyed  Vireo        3 
Cardinal       5
Catbird      1 heard only 
Mockingbird       3
Prothonotary Warbler      1 
Chestnut sided warbler     1
American Redstart      1 female , immature type
