Hi all,

I decided to head west on my day off, and it did not disappoint!  I started at North Branch, Allegany CO where most of the previously reported shorebirds were still hanging out, in addition to these there was one BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER at the tarps. A couple of notable passerines were a YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER and juv. CERULEAN WARBLER on the canal tow path the latter found by J.B. and I sonn after he arrived.    David Yeany II arrived and we birded a bit more and got great looks at most of the birds.  J.B. had to head in to work, so David and I worked west.  The highlight of the Garrett birding was definitely a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE at Trout Run WWTP Garrett CO., quite an impressive show these little birds are putting on!  After birding in Garrett I started back east, Dave Powell and I birded around the Hagerstown Airport where we located 2 UPLAND SANDPIPERS in the short grass near the runway.  Complete lists follow-
