Noah,

I am a bit south of you in East Silver Spring. Between 6;30 and 7 AM
this morning I saw between 200 to 300 Grackles flying north east.
They came in groups and sometimes just one bird. Mostly they came in
flocks of 12 to 24 birds. Very noisy, too. It looked to me that they
were flying towards the Wheaton Regional Park. I did see a few
Starlings flying that way, too. But the local crows who were very vocal
did not follow this group of Grackles

Recently, I have had a large number of Grackles come to my feeder. I
counted over 30 last week with many more in the trees. It seemed to be
a mix of Boat Tailed and Common.

Just as a note, the common grackle with no tail, has been growing new
tail feathers. They are about 2 inches long now. He flies quite well
and the other grackles are accepting him/her on the feeder again.
