On Monday, while sitting on my backyard deck in Brookdale (near Friendship Heights), I spotted a Great Crested Flycatcher.  IThe beautiful bird, with its solid yellow breast and rust colored tail, and very large beak,  stuck around long enough for me to witness some aerobic feats while catching and eating two insects in the air.
