I was at the meadowlark site for the last couple hours of the day yesterday and today from 2 pm till 730 pm. I did not see anything of note (except 1 Upland Sandpiper) yesterday. Today I had an interesting (silent) bird in the late pm. Will need to analyze photos which are good. Place was almost dead from 2 pm to 615 pm, then both days a bunch of birds came out late. So if you go in the pm, you do not have to be early. Mark Hoffman

Subject: Re: [MDOSPREY] Update? Western Meadowlark
Folks:
I agree with Jim. Based on my three morning attempts last week at
first light (around 6:30 am), the meadowlark show was over by about
8:30 or 9 am. Also, remember, that sometimes it vocalized and
sometimes it didn't.
I was under the impression that Bill, Mikey, Jim, et al. had the bird
last Sunday later in the evening, but re-reading the reports it was
in the afternoon. What time was that, guys?
