Hi all --

Wallace Kornack plans to post all the birds seen from Rock Creek Park DC
today, including ours, but this was seen after we left him at the dog run --
we returned to the Nature Center area and found an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER
sitting up on a dead snag near the indoor riding arena. We were just
starting to get enjoyable looks when a Pewee came out of nowhere and knocked
the OS off its perch, and chased it into the woods (!). We waited a while
but it never reappeared. The Pewee appeared proud of itself!

We also saw a few additional Magnolia Warblers and 4-5 more Yellowthroats in
the area.

Also another good addendum (seen after we left Wallace), LEAST FLYCATCHER in
the tangles at the base of Military Field, foraging very low in the weeds,
fresh plumage and buffy wingbars indicating bird of the year.
